Tumult

Building a Cabinet for the "Tumult" Subwoofer

The Woofer is a 15" model and two 18"
Passive Radiators are used.

The Driver

The Box

Made a drawing of the box to be built.

¾" MDF has been added to the front and
Driver and Passive radiator cut outs
have been made.

The back has been installed and 1½"
oak "hand rails" have been added
inside for bracing. ½" MDF has been
installed on the top and bottom.

½" MDF has been installed on all sides,
top and bottom, and driver and radiator
cut outs have been routed for flush
mounting.

¼" oak plywood has been installed on all
sides (including the bottom), solid oak ¾"
quarter-round moldings have been installed
on all edges, and sanding sealer has been
applied. Driver and passive radiator mounting holes are drilled and "T-nuts" installed.

The finished cabinet for the Tumult subwoofer and two passive radiators
is finished. The input terminals and casters are mounted on the bottom.
