The finished subwoofer. This makes a nice small package
for a music system.
The dimensions of the box: 15½" wide, 19" high
and 18¼" deep.
The overall size including the volume knob and amp
heat sink are:
15½" wide, 19½" high and 20½"
deep including the ½" gap at
the bottom to provide clearance for the four casters.
The completed subwoofer weighs 75 pounds.
This sub is also adequate for home theater in an average
size room.
Tried this sub out in my system by playing "Tower of
Silence" from Joe Zawinul's
CD titled Faces and Places. This track has
a ferocious kick drum along with low
synthesizer bass. With my system, in my room, I could
live with this single "Baby Sub"
instead of my two 1259 subs driven by two, bridged
Adcom 555IIs. A great bargain for
less than $400 including shipping, plus the wood,
casters and stuffing.
