DIY Interconnect Cable Tutorial

Have had several requests for details on making "High End" interconnect cables that are affordable.
First: Since my system is somewhat complex, decided to color code the various channels for ease
of tracing the source and destination of the cables. Noticed the THX cables are color coded, so decided
to follow their sequence for interconnects as follows:

                                                                                Blue......................................Front L (Left)
                                                                                Red.......................................Front R (Right)
                                                                                Green....................................Center
White with Blue Stripe..........Surround L (Left)
White with Red Stripe...........Surround R (Right)

Note: Made the surround cables from white cable and made a spiral red or blue stripe with a felt marking pen.

The RCA Phono Plugs

Used gold plated RCA phono plugs from Milestek

                      10-21050 Black Band

                      10-21051 Red Band

                      10-21052 White Band

                      10-21053 Yellow Band

Note: I usually use a Black Banded Plug at one end indicate a shield connection, so
that plug should be connected to the input of the device, along with a
Red Banded Plug at the other end.
